2017 Annual Meeting - July 20, 2017

The annual Washington Lakes Watershed Association meeting will be held at the Washinton Town Grange Hall on July 20, 2017 at 7 PM.

Our guest speaker is Rebecca Jacobs, an educator with Knox-Lincoln Soil and Water Conservation District. She will explain how plants and shrubs buffer and "treat" water before it runs into the lakes. Rebecca says, “Vegetation shields the water’s edge and helps keep the lakes healthy.” She will talk about the best kinds of buffer zones and will answer questions for us.

There will also be reports and information about the LakeSmart Program and WLWA activities with Washington’s Recreation Committee and Medomak Valley Land Trust.  Everyone is invited to attend. Lite refreshments will be served.
